Women's soccer continues to receive criticism and suggestions on how to change the game.
Well... here’s Formiga, a legend of women’s soccer, standing as the face of resistance against these sexist changes.
TEASER PHASE ONE: METALINGUISTIC
Before the commercial launch, we used metalinguistics to promote the championship final and our concept: soccer as it should be.
Shortening the duration of the content.
Reducing the dimensions of the content.
TEASER PHASE 2: IMAGINARY PLAYS
Additionally, we created a section with imaginary plays, showing that if the rule changes were applied, some moments wouldn’t exist.
WATCH PARTY: ANOTHER GENERATION OF RESISTANCE
For the Watch Party of the final, we invited the girls from the NGO Nasce uma Estrela, which supports and invests in women's football, to continue the resistance.
They received a ball signed by Formiga as a symbolic baton handoff.
Then, they played. But before that, they rejected the proposed changes with their own hands:
keeping the goal and the field as they should be.
